LiteracyIn Literacy we learn:
-to retell traditional stories using
puppets and masks.
-to read and recite poems and rhymes.
-to read non-fiction books to find out information.
-to read words by blending the sounds together - using our blending arm..
-to spell words by segmenting them using our Jolly phonics sounds.
In maths we learn:-to count in twos and tens.
-to add and take away.
-to recognise values of coins and find totals.
-to begin to recognise odd and even numbers.
-to estimate and measure weight.
-to recognise and describe shapes.
-to make repeating patterns.
In Creative curriculum this term we are studying journeys. We will be looking at journeys across land, sea, air and space.
In the second half of term our topic will be growing. We will look at how people plants and animals grow - and what they need for healthy growth.

In Science we learn about pushes and pulls and materials. We investigate pushes and pulls that we use every day. We sort and describe materials, finding out what things are made out of.
